About Us
Who are Ultra Gaming Ninjas? Why are we here? What are our motives for doing this site? If Jay leaves point A travelling towards point B some 90 miles away and averages a speed of 60mph, how quickly will he have arrived?*

To be quite honest (we’re like that, you know), we’re here to have some fun. Some areas of gaming and gaming journalism these days have become somewhat stilted and rather too full of their own importance for our liking, so we’re here to talk about our favourite pastime in a relaxed, hopefully informative manner. That’s not to say we’re not planning on becoming a great big website and ruling the internet with our searing wit and general cynicism, of course, but our journey there should be more relaxed than most.

Hence, you won’t find us boasting about the credentials of our staff here. So we may not have been editor at a nationwide magazine at some point and we are not crusty, embittered industry veterans with chips on our shoulders. What matters is that we love gaming, and so do you. Our aim is to capture that feeling, mix it with a spoonful of humour and bake it into HTML.

Should you wish to know a bit more, here’s the skinny:

Matt
Chief Editor / Man in charge / Monkey of Authority
Matt has been gaming since the very early 90’s (discounting early experiences with his older brother’s Spectrum and a copy of Trapdoor), and grew up in and around the south coast of Dorset. Having decided to move to an area with more than one computer per ten households and with an internet connection not comparable in speed to that of a pigeon courier, he now spends his days casting his eye over the comings and goings of video gaming whilst listening to various Led Zeppelin records and eating pretzels.
Jay
Editor / Odd Job / Shifty Looking Bloke / Web
Rumour has it that true-Brit red haired Ninja squirrels raised Jay into the man-form that exists today. While it was evident from the first reviews, found buried in an acorn stash, that Jay had all the makings of a well-honed psychotic; it was additionally decided that this ferity-looking humanoid would serve as Matt’s counterpart; his Ying to Matt’s Yang; his black to Matt’s white; his Pavarotti to Matt’s Annie Lennox. His gaming days began in the late 80's and raged through until today and would say he has enjoyed partaking in the overall gaming experience, even if at times he does get a bit Neanderthal about the whole thing.

With that in mind, sit back and enjoy the ride. We’ve got plenty of exciting ideas for UltraNinjas that we’ll be adding to the site over the coming months, but for now sit back, put your seatbelt on, scratch that itch and get ready. We’re just getting started.

* He didn’t. He took a wrong turning, circled around the M25 in confusion for two hours and then ran out of petrol.
